Playing Catch-up

Sorry that it's been so long since my last post. My computer crashed and I got the brilliant idea to "quick restore" it...except now it doesn't recognize the internet. I think it is time for an upgrade.
Here is a quick rundown from the past few months. September went well, I had the opportunity to get pit passes for NASCAR when they came to town - that was a blast! Robby told me to not become one of those girls obsessed with NASCAR because, "Jen, that is so unattractive." okay bob. no need to worry. I am not obsessed (they are just men), but i did enjoy it.
Last month, Extreme Makeover Home Edition was in my state. I volunteered and really was impressed at the tremendous outpouring of support from the community. it's funny because everyone seems to be crazy about meeting famous people. what sets people on t.v. apart from you and i? they are not much different...why should they deserve any more respect than i give you? "Ty" was the buzz word the whole week. "oh! you helped! did you meet Ty?" who cares. one guy i was working with even stole a hard hat that Ty had signed. what's the point? go home and hang it on your wall. beautifully decorated living room with a blue hard hat hung above the t.v. what an art piece. for real. what is the point. sell it on ebay? okay, that's legit. but then what's the buyer going to do with it? hang it in HIS living room? great.
anyway. now it is november, the ty talk is over and people are moving on with their lives. Thanksgiving is this week and guess what??? I will be in Mexico with my Dad's side of the family. bob will be there and i cant wait to see him.
