Tonight Camden, Dawn, and Joel assembled and decorated a gingerbread train...which actually means the this:
Dawn:
(puts bowl of candy in from of Camden) "Camden, hand daddy a yellow candy. No, don't lick it. okay fine, you can eat that one. hand daddy another yellow one."
Camden: "We dont need to finish it. i dont want to do the rest."Joel: "but we aren't done. we still need to do the caboose."
Camden: "No we dont because then we will use the candy and i cant eat it all."Dawn: "Camden, stop eating the candy."
Camden: "do you think those red gums are the hot kind?" and "you're using ALL that candy?" Joel: "Daddy's almost done."
Camden: "There's more candy for only me."Dawn: "Joel, did you want to do the back of the caboose?"
Camden: "NO! i dont want the dots on the wheels!"Dawn: "Why?"
Camden: "Because I dont want you to."Dawn: "Why else?"
Camden: "Because aunt jen can have some."Me: "Wow! good job, Camden!"
Camden: "CH! i'm not doing it anymore! Are we almost done?"Dawn: "Why?"
Camden: "Because it's getting late."What i learned from this experience is:
1. Dont eat a gingerbread train a 3 year-old has helped decorate...the candy has extra "glue" AKA spit.
2. 3 year-olds can come up with some great excuses!
We had fun, and in case anyone is looking for a Christmas present for camden, he announced to everyone in Starbucks that he wants a hippopantamouseseses.
