Grandma

Growing up, i loved taking a vacation to go see grandma and pap. grandma always let me make homemade noodles, jell-o, cakes, lasagna, coco-wheats, and anything else i wanted! she taught me how to work in the garden, process deer meat, and can veggies. (well, at least i THOUGHT i was learning and "helping"...i really just liked to watch her work:)) grandma showed me that you didnt have to have everything to be happy, that sitting at the kids table for thanksgiving was a priviledge, and that you can love someone so much even though you dont see them very often.
My Grandma passed away last night. she lived a life full of service for others. i never once heard my grandma complain - even when she was in all that pain. i am going to miss her, and i will never forget her. my only regret is that i didnt get to spend as much time with her as i wanted, but the memories i do have of her are so sweet.

My heart hurts for you. I understand your pain for wishing you had had more time to spend with her. I lost a Grandpa when I was only 8. I have wonderful memories of him, but I wish there were more. Death is a hard thing. Even if you have lost a loved one of your own, you can never truly understand because everyone has a different relationship with their loved ones. Thanksfully, God knows. He cares more for us and our loved one than we could ever imagine. Death, painfull and sad, but God giveth more grace...to the humble. Humble yourself to God's plan and see what great things he has for you.
I love you.
