Random Memory
Here is my memory of the day. Please post anything you remember about the blue "barrel". here's mine.
Jimmy: "MOM! have you seen my orange and black jams?"
Mom: "Uh, I washed them last week, check the barrel."
The great thing about the barrel is that is had a little bit of everything. Clean clothes, dirty ones, belts, shoes, etc.

Umm...i don't remember a barrell?? What part of my illustrious childhood have i obliterated from my memory??
Orange and black jams? Barrel? Blue? What are you talking about???
ok. sure. make me look like the dork. jimmy, mom made you "boy culottes" they were called jams. dawn, i cant believe you dont remember it. it was a HUGE trash can (like the one pictured). sometimes it was in the upstairs hall, but most of the time it was in the basement...when we lived in the duplex. come on! work with me people!
A. I don't ever remember calling those jams.
B. They came above the knee so they were shorts.
3. Still lost on the can thing.
mom said they didnt come above your knee. she CLAIMS that the mysterious barrell was supposed to be for dirty clothes but ended up also being used for cleaning up whatever was in the wrong place.
jimmy, i love your numbering system.
oh yeah, AND, bob remembers the barrell.

I'm with Jim....but I do remember the Jams...ha ha. We were such geeks and didn't even realize it. Maybe we should start a new memories list like we had a while back!
